DS3 is collaborative effort from Harvard Library and metaLab @ Harvard. The high-level goal of DS3 is inspire those within academia who may interested in developing a digital scholarship project, but who may feel they are insufficiently technical, disciplinary, or that they are lacking the resources to develop and implement their own digital scholarship.
Of course Digital Scholarship isn’t just a matter of data visualization or analysis and interpretation; nor is it all about preservation, access, and archiving. It’s also about maintenance; it’s about fostering opportunities for teaching and learning; it’s about community. This last dimension is maybe the most crucial: how does a project advance an idea, support a course, or treasure and preserve resources, in ways that expand the possibilities of learning and discovery?
